Everyone and yes I mean EVERYONE  has already posted this tracklisting, but what would I be if I didnt post the CONFIRMED tracklisting for the MOST ANTICIPATED RAP ALBUM..hmm..MAYBE OF THE WHOLE 21ST CENTURY? Oh man, look at the titles, “Underground”, “My Mom”, “Insane”..oh man…my resolve in thinking Em’s back to his old, CLASSIC shit is getting strengthened by the day. Also, apparently according to iTunes, two more songs will be released, “Old Time’s Sake”(Feat./ Dr. Dre) dropping May 5th and “Beautiful” (May 12th). (DOPE)

Lil Wayne Is The Best Punchline Rapper Ever? NO! (News)

Posted in News with tags , , , on April 28, 2009 by Keith Nelson Jr (@JusAire)

“I’m on like the television“-Lil Wayne on “Make It Rain (Remix)”

Props to YN for delivering this piece of information. Now, I hope I’ve made it clear that I dont overrate and buy completely into the Lil Wayne machine. And I definitely dont blindly hate the guy. But when I see shit like the ABOVE picture, I just sigh and think, “people need to stop thinking they KNOW Hip Hop like that.” The dude in the article above (apparenlty from the final King Magazine issue) quotes one of the whackest Lil Wayne punclines (need water like a hiccup? really?) and then claims that “being the best punchline rapper isnt just about the punchline, but how it’s delivered.” Umm, true, but he forgot ONE thing…CONSISTENCY. That’s Lil Wayne’s biggest problem is that he isnt consistent. He’ll go from a pretty (DOPE) punchline (“running this shit like I got four thighs”) to a whack, overdone punchline (“I got stripes, A-DI-DAS”) in the span of :08- :10 seconds. And since he puts out sooo much material he has a bunch of classic punchlines..but also a bunch of WHACK ones. Like, he says on the Drake song, “Successful”, “Ask her who I am to her and she yell ‘God'”. THAT’S (DOPE). But he’ll have a bunch of whack ones in a bunch of mediocre songs. Consistency. So who’s the best punchline rapper ever? Maybe Hov (“Survive a drought, I wish you well” break that one down), umm, how about Fabolous (“wordplay king, I’m not the one to Scrabble with”) shit, what about Royce (“She asked, ‘who died and made you God’, I said “Jesus”). The list goes on, but these three rappers have CONSISTENLY given (DOPE) punchlines. Wayne doesn’t. While he is “young dictionary, make words make sense, he’s also “on like the Television.” Sorry. NO DICE. (Word to Ms. Diva)

PS- Stop drinking the Kool Aid people.

Amanda Diva’s Neon Video Contest

“I don’t know about you, but I love Hip Hop/And to the break of, break of dawn, you know we don’t stop.”-Amanda Diva on “Neon”‘

I must admit, I used to be HEAVY on Amanda Diva (like catching up on about 20 DivaSpeakTV episodes in one sitting). But I been slacking. This (DOPE) “Neon” track is off of her FreeP, Spandex, Rhymes & Soul and Ms. Diva is currently pushing to get this video made and at the same time incorporating the fans in the mix. Check it out here for all the details and instructions on how to donate funds, pictures and your Neonness(keep it classy, though). Support (DOPE) music, or don’t complain when the whack is everywhere.

Eminem’s Interview On Shade45 Morning Show (Audio)

Posted in News with tags , , , , , on April 24, 2009 by Keith Nelson Jr (@JusAire)

Vodpod videos no longer available.

“The album is different from the single.”-Eminem on the Shade45 Morning Show

If you want the audios to download(for whatever weird reason) these guys have it in clips, so do these guys. But I like it in one continuous stream and thanks to WorldStarHipHop we have it. The G.O.A.T. stops by the show he owns. He tackles almost every topic you could think of in this 17 minute clip from the sound of the album, him being considered the greatest rapper alive, why his songs don’t leak until he wants them to and his “3 inches of blue steel.” The most interesting part of this whole interview is the comparison between Eminem and Bill O’Riley. It kind of shows how Bill O’Riley is basically the Eminem in the News world, attacking any rapper who is popular. TAKE THAT!

Oh..and he’s dropping his 2nd single, 3 AM today which he promises to be ALOT darker than the 1st single(he’s never done that before. Now has he?)

Raps I bust ’em/Problems with my life, don’t discuss ’em/Coups and Leer Jets, I lust them.”-Curren$y on “Coups & Leers”

Here it is, straight from the Hot Spitta himself, the cover art to his debut album, This Ain’t No Mixtape. He gave us previews of it, but I don’t hit you (DOPE)sters(still figuring out what to call y’all) with jumbled pictures. I wait till the official full cover is out. Remember, on 4.21, go COP THAT DISC(word to Magoo, Timbaland and Missy). SPITTTA!! Also check out the soon to come ThisAintNoMixtape.Com(Curren$y getting up on his Flash game).

PS- Wasn’t able to find a tracklisting for this..soo..umm..yea.

Joe Budden TV- “Music Fantasy Draft” (Video) * Tahiry’s KING Magazine Photos

Posted in News, Videos with tags , , , , on April 14, 2009 by Keith Nelson Jr (@JusAire)

“They put an accent on Rhianna. What are we talking about? You comparing Beyonce’s work ethnic to a potatoe doll where you place the shit on her fucken head.”-Joe Budden in above video

Before I begin, Mr. Mouse has a disclaimer about the video for anyone who may take offense (*coughs* Rhianna *coughs*):

me and this guy will debate about everything under the sun, and nothing is to be taken personally, take it 4 what it is… 1 music conversation outta 19092902082820982980… my apologies to any1 we may have offended, def. not our intentions…

Ahhh how Hip Hop and the world of music for that matter need more of THESE debates. Here Joe and (some dude that seems to be in ALL the Joe Budden TV videos and may be a close family friend) debate over who would be in their Music Fantasy Draft. Apparently Joe’s draft picks are:

Hip Hop- T.I.(if he’s speaking as a fan, if he’s speaking as a rapper then that’s a WHOLE different story apparently.)

R&B- Keyshia Cole(But then later picks Keri Hilson..hmmm..I dont know about that one)

The issue of talent vs. marketability, created superstar vs. self-made superstar and Mr. Potatoe Head vs. Beyonce are ALWAYS hot topics. I think Joey said it best, there has to be a machine behind talent to make a megastar. Cause even though 50 Cent came to Aftermath with a SHITLOAD of songs, like Buddens said “he didn’t come with In Da Club.” My choices, AS A FAN, of Draft Picks would be:

Hip Hop: Eminem (Cant be questioned)

R&B: Alicia Keys (Talent and can bring in the MAJOR BUCKS!)

Don’t mind the disjointed organization. Just enjoy the beauty. : )
